Marvel Admissions

About

The Marvel Admissions Difference:

Career propelling – We help our clients assess their strengths, values, and interests in order to clarify their goals and motivate them to start taking action.  We also coach our clients to enhance effectiveness and impact within their current workplace, which makes them stronger candidates for the business school applications – whether it is taking on a challenging new assignment, asking for a promotion or a raise, managing a project, leading a team, or dealing with a difficult boss or colleague, etc.

Personal – We believe in taking the time to get to know our clients, key influences in their life, and challenges they’ve overcome, then letting the process of joint discovery unfold, rather than forcing the same formula onto our clients.

International – We are active leaders within the alumni network of top business schools and have in-depth knowledge of schools in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Marvel Admissions consultants are all graduates from a top MBA program and have served as admissions interviewers and application reviewers. Our admissions consultants are experienced leadership coaches, management consultants, strategists, and brand marketers for Fortune Global 500 firms and fast growing businesses.  Our founder, Christine Lin, serves as the President of London Business School Alumni Club in Los Angeles.

Principal: Christine Lin

Christine Lin enjoys coaching business school applicants to develop and execute a winning admissions strategy. She encourages applicants to reflect on their leadership style, and discover ways to combine their strengths and interests into fulfilling career paths.  Christine has extensive experience advising CEOs and senior executives in leadership effectiveness and team dynamics, and coaching talented professionals through major career transitions.  She has been a business and talent strategy consultant for organizations including Deloitte, J.P. Morgan, Fortis, and T-Mobile.  She also served as the national strategy manager for Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Christine earned her MBA from London Business School and her B.A. in Psychology and Organizational Studies from Pitzer College. She has been conducting alumni interviews and evaluating candidates for London Business School since 2002.  She is currently serving as the President of London Business School Los Angeles Alumni Club.

Coaching and mentoring have been integral parts of Christine’s experience.  She started a mentoring program in college to help first year students with their transition to college. Initially wanting to become a developmental psychologist, she became more interested in studying organizational psychology to understand leadership, team dynamics and human motivation. Christine believes in truly listening to her clients, and giving them space to think and explore. She volunteered as an advocate for survivors of assault, and as a board member of StandUp for Kids (a program to help homeless youth improve their lives). She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and holds a black-belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Consulting Director: Jenny Hall
